My Story

Everyone and everything has a story, and if you're fortunate, you may have more than one. My story began with a class trip, where a teacher saw something in a collection of photographs that would otherwise go unnoticed. It was an unexpected turn towards the light, and nothing would ever be the same again. My joy is capturing the hidden stories of places, people, and experiences that define who we are and who we are becoming. That is the ultimate beauty of every photograph, the potential of a story yet to be told. Thank you for visiting my website.

With love,

Kelli

In this multi-faceted role for the Herald and Times Group, I was part of a team working across a range of publications in both print and online.

  • Integrated a multi-disciplinary team of writers, editors and designers to produce the highest quality media, all within the parameters of daily deadlines and strict budgets.

  • Commissioned photographers to produce brief-based images

  • Led coordination and development for complex photoshoots.

  • Responsible for the creation of final published layouts.

  • Organized and oversaw budgets for the photographic elements of the Group’s published titles.

  • Curated, edited and archived online digital resources and digital software to establish and maintain an organized, fully up-to-date and easily accessible database and archive of images and content.

As a teacher in the Arts Department at the Solebury School, my curriculum spans four educational levels and disciplines from novice to more advanced.

  • Create and incorporate a broad curriculum featuring various areas of focus including film, digital and darkroom photography.

  • Teach and thoroughly incorporate the historical context of photography, including the alignment with formulating narrative and the balance between technical know-how and artistic expression.

  • Establish a blended platform and approach that builds both technical and artistic "know-how" that is taught and expanded in photography workshops, as well.

Working as a freelance photographer, predominantly in a world-renowned private resort in the Scottish Highlands, it was my responsibility and pleasure to photograph a wide variety of important events.

  • Responsible for custom photography sessions for individuals, weddings, key social gatherings and corporate forums.

  • Established specific photography objectives in line with clients specific objectives.

  • Developed a photo-journalistic approach to portraiture whether for personal or professional purposes that is utilized in current photography sessions today.
