PORTRAITURE LIGHTING

In this course, learn to use your camera and metering systems to capture portraits and fully enhance your subjects by utilizing natural light and interesting backdrops. Workshops will be held in various natural locations with alternate lighting, as well as in a studio setting to enable you to learn the process of controlled lighting. All aspects will be covered regarding soft and hard lighting techniques. At the end of this course, you will be able to capture your subjects professionally and creatively excelling them forward within the art of portraiture and lighting.

BLACK & WHITE FUNDAMENTALS

Within this course we uncover the basics of how to use a digital camera on a manual setting to achieve images of highest quality and strong composition. We will work with class assigned briefs to review ideas and concepts within class discussions and group critique. You will also receive an introduction to the newest version of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and understand the process of editing, manipulating and printing your images to a high quality standard, resulting in an end product to be proud of and an appreciation of the creative journey there.

In this Landscape masterclass, we will dig deeper into the special ways to operate film or digital cameras manually in order to capture and produce stylized final images related to the genre of landscape photography. This a a field based workshop and you will appreciate the art of subject choice and content within your work and be fully trained on the art of selection, editing and printing images to a high quality final standard. Participants are informed on editing work using the newest version of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and how to print to a professional standard utilizing exhibition quality print paper with high quality inkjet printers.
